We entered Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio last week. Your intuitive ability is stronger in Scorpio, and you are capable of profound insights. This energy is aiding you to see the true nature of people and events going on. At times your mind may be dominated by strong emotions that can overrule your thinking. Make sure you are grounding and centering yourself before making decisions. Allow the emotions to flow through you to release them, then let it go. Mercury is an interpersonal planet so it is important to take time to listen to the deep messages being delivered in regards to your relationships. Use this time for introspection to review all aspects. This will help you diffuse eager, over reactions and reform them into proper action in right timing. While Mercury is still in Retro it moves into Libra (see below), along with several other transits this week, and the 2nd full moon of October! We are in for a ride!!
SUN IN SCORPIO
On October 22nd/23rd, the Sun moves into the stealthy sign of Scorpio, officially kickstarting Scorpio Season which lasts until November 21st. This marks a time of increased intensity in our personal relationships when we start to seek deeper and more intimate connections with others. It is always a potent zodiac season, however, this transit lacks the normal fierce and harsh significance since there will be no more squares to the stellium in Capricorn or oppositions to Mars in Aries. It has the potential to be a penetrating time of stellar connections with a feel-good quality. A time to bask in the Sun’s penetrating radiance.
Mercury joins the Sun in Scorpio, retrograding through the fixed water sign until October 27th, when it then moves back into Libra. On October 25th, the Sun and Mercury retrograde will conjunct at 2 degrees of Scorpio, increasing our intuition and illuminating something that we are meant to see. These two celestial bodies create a forensic force capable of revealing previously hidden areas in our important partnerships. This time of deep review is preparing us to make needed and necessary adjustments.
One of the main guiding attributes of Scorpio is the ability to be guided by what is desired. It is the sign ruled by Pluto, the Lord of the underworld, and all that is hidden in the unseen depths of our psyche. Scorpio is an archetype of profound intimacy and powerful emotional extremes. Shallowness is not favored by the inquisitive nature of this mysterious sign. In fact, the quest is always to discover the depths of what lies in the suppressed, secretive, and sometimes sultry areas of interest.
The sensual nature of a Scorpio persona is often mistaken for shyness, with energy that exudes mystery and intrigue. Known as a strong-willed fixed sign, it can present as jealous, manipulative, and even vindictive. The higher vibration of the Sun’s transit through Scorpio can be seriously transformative, resulting in a tremendous time of healing.
MERCURY IN LIBRA
With Mercury now in Libra you will have more of a well-balanced, honest and refined mind. You will less inclined to study or educate yourself generally. It will reduce some of the intellectual focus and bring our awareness to our communication and balance within ourselves and and our personal relationships. However, when pushed, you are well-capable of much hard work and success in this area.
Some indecisiveness is possible now, simply because you naturally entertain opposing viewpoints. You have a strong desire to cooperate and communicate with others now. You feel most comfortable spending time with people on a one-to-one level, or with those with whom you share a personal history. Your own thoughts become clearer through dialogue with others. You may be doing public relations work, counseling, negotiating, or arbitration during this cycle.
You can use the power of words to advise others or to make peace with people in your life. You are more diplomatic than usual during this transit.
VENUS IN LIBRA
Venus moves into harmonious & peace keeping libra on October 27th. Venus feels at home in the sign of Libra, as it is the ruling planet of Libra. There will be a focus here on our relationships, finances, and the love we have for ourselves. There may be a need for connection, relating, communicating and deeper love. It’s a time to reflect on if there is a balance of giving and receiving in your life, are you giving out more love than you receive? If so how can you give yourself more love?
Venus in Libra is a time to really up the self love, to learn to be more independent vs co-dependent, and to learn to no longer rely on others for validation, but to learn to validate ourselves and fill up our own cup, with love, compassion and abundance. If you are in a relationship during this transit it’s a great time to assess any imbalances within the relationship, is one partner giving more and one partner receiving more? Its an amazing time for learning how to compromise and work together aside your differences.
Libra seeks to make everyone involved happy and wants to find ways to work together in a harmonious way. This transit may bring a focus on balancing our internal Feminine and Masculine energies and finding was to unite the two. For some there may be an emphasis on finances, learning to use and spend your money more wisely, allow the Venusian Libra energy to remind you that you are abundant in nature, use this transit to work through any scarcity or lack mindsets.
We all know Mercury has been retrograde in Scorpio since October 13th, it moves back into Libra about 5 minutes before Venus moves into Libra. Influencing a strong need to communicate more truthfully, to be more fair-minded, to find healthier, harmonious ways to talk to ourselves and communicate our needs to others, to find new self-love rituals, affirmations, and practices. This transit invites us to heal any love-wounds, to find a balance of giving & receiving, to let go of the idea that you are only loved if others love you, and to begin to love yourself so deeply that no one else needs to fill the void!
FULL MOON IN TAURUS
On October 31st, a rare Blue Moon occurs at 8° of Taurus. This is the name given to a second Full Moon that occurs in any given month. Adding to its peculiarity is the fact that although there is a Full Moon on Halloween somewhere in the world every 19 years, this will be the first one to occur across all time zones since 1944.
This lunar culmination will be in an exact conjunction with the planet Uranus, transiting the Earth sign of Taurus until 2026. A polarized energy with an eruptive nature, the rebellious Maverik Uranus in the Fixed Earth sign, may pour forth in an explosive manner, perhaps in the form of actual Earth events or political earthquakes. Full Moons serve to illuminate what has been hidden in the dark, previously unknown or unseen. With rebel planet Uranus amplifying this energy, shocking information may suddenly be revealed on a personal and also a global scale. Revolutionary breakthroughs that reinforce the messages of Pluto and the deconstruction from the Capricorn stellium. The process of transformation that has been taking place this entire year now becomes clear.
There is a very rebellious quality to this lunation. In addition to the Uranian energy, Mercury retrograde is at 26° of Libra during this Full Moon, forming a Cardinal t-square to the planets in Aries and Capricorn. This echoes the recent Libra New Moon in the Cardinal energy, and two consecutive Moons ruled by Venus. Themes of challenged value systems, justice, and equality are being illuminated once again. With Mars retrograde in his ruling sign of Aries, this could play out in the form of Social unrest. This is especially true in the U.S, with the Taurus Full Moon occurring in strong Yang energy just 3 days before the election. Also occurring on election day November 3rd, Mercury will station direct and create an exact square to Saturn in Capricorn, intensifying outcries against apparent oppression. The Moon rules our emotions. This Full Moon occurs on the Taurus/Scorpio relationship axis. The signs of emotional extremes, of embodying and bypassing, personal and shared, shape and form. This is a call for change and liberation in order to move us forward out of where we have been stuck, perhaps in fear of the unknown. Uranus knows the future and is able to deliver to us, insights in the form of Spiritual downloads from the higher mind. In the sign of Taurus, this can be an epiphany moment, a merging of heart and mind, A knowing of what is next in our lives. The Sun in Scorpio is opposing Uranus, offering breakthrough mentality to provide a rebalancing. To show us the empowering energy that has been waiting to come up from the dark, and out into the light.
